Stefano Tonchi has been on a warpath since he started at W Magazine last month. Hirings and magazine shiftings have followed ever since.

Yesterday, Tonchi hired Jody Quon to join W as the creative director starting on May 24. She was previously photo director of New York Magazine since 2004 and before that she had over 10 years at The New York Times Magazine as deputy photo director.
“Jody has a background that goes beyond just beauty and fashion — she knows photojournalism, she knows images,” said Tonchi on why he hired Quon. "I see her as somebody who cares as much about the cover of a magazine as the last page of a magazine, somebody who gives as much attention to the well features as to the little things that happen in front of the book.”
Her successor at New York Magazine has not been named yet.
