Fashion Forward 2013: For A Split Second I Was A Runway Model

Last week I skipped a day of New York Fashion Week and I went way outside my comfort zone to model at Fashion Forward Conference 2013 #FashForward. The conference was filled with over 100 social media women, who attended to meet and learn from powerful players from the fashion industry and beyond.
This was the second conference friends Vera Sweeney (Lady and the Blog), Audrey Couto McClelland (Mom Generations), Nicole Feliciano (Mom Trends), Brooke Stewart (Power Moms Media) put together and the first one I was able to participate in.
The keynote speaker was Rosie Pope and panel participants included; Countess LuAnn, Phillip Bloch, and Yuli Ziv from the Style Coalition. There were also two fashion shows  – one for kids and one for women – which is the one I participated in.

Of course I had to ham it up. I can NOT take myself too seriously. Ever.

What I’m wearing;
Karen Kane West End Jacquard Dress, $118
Karen Kane Leather Collar Blazer, $218
Christian Louboutin Batignolles Leather Pointed Red Sole Pump, $625 (my own)
Brahmin Fall 2013 Sophie Clutch, $195
I had a great time with old friends and making new ones.
