CLARINS Artistic Director and International Makeup Trainer Eric Antoniotti was at Nordstrom Michigan Avenue on Saturday to give everyday women tips and tricks on obtain youthful beauty and flattering makeup tricks for the spring season. Working with CLARINS for the the last 30 years, Antoniotti obviously knows what he's talking about.

There are two new projects for the season, of of which is the Instant Smooth Line Correcting Concentrate, which is great at reducing facial lines and wrinkles. This is a new product created using unique concentrations of dermaxil. Because it is so high and precise at its goal, you must apply it locally on top of makeup to make sure you only get it right where you need it.

The next new product was Skin Illusion Natural Radiance Foundation. "This product will give you that extra radiance and luminosity," Antoniotti explained while showing me how the foundation blends easily into the skin. "It is made with a special pink opal powder from Australia… it is 100% natural and great for all skin tones," Antoniotti said.

For spring, make sure to keep up with trend of "fresh face"! "Coral high shine lips combined with pink blush will give you that fresh look," Antoniotti explained.  Be on the lookout for a few new shades of foundation next season. Antoniotti explained how he understood how women of color have such trouble finding foundations to match their skintone. CLARINS will be introducing four new darker shades for those still having trouble finding their go to foundation.

Antoniotti was the best interviewee. After chatting about the Chicago snow, jet-lag from his recent trips and finally being able to make a huge meeting in Paris the next day, he gave me a double kiss on the cheek and tried to leave with me (in his awesome Corsican accent, nonetheless)! He had to be carried away back to his job! Well, he loves what he does so he didn't have to be dragged too much…
