Chicago based fashion designer Melanie Clark has many ties to the movie ‘Dreamgirls’ from way back when. Not only is she godsisters with Anika Noni Rose (the third Dreamgirl), but Sharon Davis, costume designer for Dreamgirls is one of her clients. Melanie accompanied Anika to The Oprah Show tapping that featured the movie.
Last year (before being outfitted by Andre Leon Talley), Jennifer Hudson was often seen in frocks from Melanie’s line, Melanie Nicole. Jennifer wore her dresses to the BET Awards, the Clive Davis Awards, in a photo shoot for her media kit, and on her official website. jenniferhudsononline.com
