The famed Galaxy Dress by Roland Mouret, Spring ’06
Best known recently for his ‘Five Dresses’ for Gap last November, designer Roland Mouret will debut a high-end capsule collection in July during the Paris couture shows.
The collection, RM, by the designer Roland Mouret, is the first under his new joint venture company, 19RM, formed last fall with Simon Fuller after his former partnership — with Sharai and Andre Meyers — ended. Mouret quit Roland Mouret Design Ltd. in spring 2006, but the Meyers still own the Roland Mouret name.

Just to wet the U.S. appetite, he has created a dress that will be sold exclusively at Bergdorf Goodman beginning Monday. The new collection will be made up entirely of tailored pieces consisting of dresses, jackets, skirts, coats, tops and trousers.
A spokesman commented Mouret chose Paris because "it’s a great calendar to show alongside." The collection will be priced in line with Lanvin, Balenciaga and Chanel.
Well, there’s always the Gap…for now.
