What I loved about the fashionistas who came out for the H&M Presents The Season’s Most Fashionable Gifts celebrity shopping event in West Hollywood was the way they made the trends look so effortless and chic. Fashion doesn’t have to be so hard, they all seemed to be saying and really, it doesn’t, as these celeb stylistas proved you can look like you just threw something on and walked out the door, but still smolder of something so utterly, fabulously cool.
Nicole is the expert on this whole style. Graphic prints played up again opaque black tights and teetering heels. With hair in messy waves, she looks like she found the dress, threw it on, streaked on some liquid eyeliner and showed up–yet women everywhere are scrambling for her style.

I’m not a big fan of the poofy white dress, but something I love that Jamie-Lynn always does is throw on a leather jacket or a tuxedo blazer over her look. In this case, it doesn’t look like it does her any justice, but kudos for trying!
Yes, polka-dots may be overdone, but Mena punches up her style iwth matching peep-toes and a bright red bag. Although its a little school girlish, H&M followers are loving it–this is a classic H&M clothing meets girl who’s trying to find her style through following trends look. I admit I’ve worn it myself. Love it!
Something I’ve recently noticed about Michelle is that she’s always trying to play up the trends through her own style. This take on the high-waisted look is no exception. She goes for it with a statement necklace and cobalt blue skirt. It’s easy and fun.
Mischa Barton
Mischa’s always trying too hard to take fashion risks, so we actually like that she’s played it down a bit for this event. The cool tank with shiny high-waist bottom half looks gorgeous on her and the all-black look is surprisingly sophisticated. In true Mischa fashion, she dares to be different with funky shoes and a colorful hairpiece.
Mandy always makes it look easy. No longer a teen idol, she always looks classy cool and this event is no exception. A cream-colored cocktail dress with interesting neckline paired under an of-the-moment satin tuxedo jacket does the trick.
Nicky Hilton
Time and time again, Nicky always proves she’ll never go overboard like sister Paris. Here she wears a figure-hugging leather dress with matching leather booties. Throw on a few dangling necklaces and a fabulous little bag and she’s ready to go.
Garcelle Beauvais-Nilon
All Garcelle needs to make her look pop are some punchy print tights. They totally pull out an otherwise monochromatic black look and this fashionista does it well.
Jessica Stroup
New on the scene, but already a stylista, Jessica Stroup has shown that she knows how to put an outfit together. Here a classic black tube top dress pops with a cropped leather jacket in an interesting blue. I call it easy chic!
