Cathy Horyn Resigns

a_3x-vertical
New York Time’s chief fashion critic Cathy Horyn has decided to resign. Horyn was in Europe for men’s wear this January but did not stay for couture. Instead Stuart Emmrich and Suzy Menkes were there on her behalf. Cathy’s reasons for leaving are personal and mostly to spend more with her partner, Art Ortenberg, who has had health problems. However, fashion writing does not stop for Horyn, she is planning on writing a book that chronicles New York Times fashion from the 1850s to now. Horyn was known for having her own voice when it came to fashion and did not always agree with popular opinion, which is what made her successful.
