Beauty Rave: LIERAC Sensorielle Multi-Use Oil For Face, Body & Hair

Last Friday I attended a "Royal" event hosted by Phyto + Lierac at the Style Coalition Lounge and was introduced to a product I am now totally hooked on! So of course I have to tell you about it. Paris' skincare company, Lierac Laboratories has packaged a multi-use oil (comprised of botanical oils and flowers of gardenia, jasmine and camellia) that not only smells amazing, but works as well if not better than some of the $100+ versions I have tried (and no longer use). Take a look at Lierac Laboratories Sensorielle Oil.

Since the beginning of time, botanical oils have been a treasure of vitality and beauty for skin and hair. Their rich EFA content, key constituent of cell membranes, provides intense nutrition and hydration to skin. Their high concentration in vitamins protects and helps prevent the premature appearance of the visible signs of skin aging. Lierac Laboratories have selected four precious botanical oils with nourishing, hydrating and protecting properties for 24-hour hydration.

Gardenia flowers originate from the tropical forests of southern Japan. Rich in essential oils, the extracts provide stimulating properties for the skin and relaxing properties for the mind and body. Gardenias, as you know, smell wonderful.

Jasmine originates from the Indies and Egypt, and has always been a symbol of femininity and seduction. Rich in anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory flavonols, it reinforces the skin’s natural defenses and reduces protein oxidation. Jasmine essential oils are rare and highly sought-after, and procure a relaxing and harmonizing effect on the mind and body. Jasmine also strengthens hair.

Camellia originates from China, where it portrays perfect beauty through the purity of its forms and colors. Its EFA-rich oil is obtained in the fall by cold pressing its grains, and has nourishing, protecting, soothing and softening properties. Camellia oil also helps combat the premature appearance of the visible signs of skin aging, and restores shine, vitality and softness to dry hair.

Argan oil, a rare oil produced Morocco, is used for its regenerating, nourishing and protecting properties. Rich in EFA, the presence of two important ingredients distinguishes it from other oils: unsaponifiables (polyphenols and carotenes) that have re-texturizing benefits, and vitamin E, with antioxidant properties.
Grapeseed oil is a powerful anti-oxidant that is rich in EFA, vitamin E and in flavonoids, that provides regenerating, re-texturizing and anti-oxidant benefits for skin and hair.

OK, so what's the rub? How do you really use Sensorielle Oil? I have been rubbing a few drops between my palms and then running ir through my hair and scalp right after I shower. Not only does it make my hair smell wonderful, it is super smooth and shiny, but not oily or greasy in the least. I love that I am creating and maintaining a healthy scalp. I also can't wait to try it in the bath. If you add a few drops, Sensorielle transforms into a softening and protective milk. Who can resist a milk bath? You can also use it on your face and body which I will try next winter when my skin is unbearably dry.
