Timberland's new boat shoes
In honor of New York's 'Fashion's Night Out', the company that equipped you with the tools to battle a rugged terrain are deciding to relax and take it a little easy. Timberland will be creating a line of hand-sewn boat shows. Now the irony has not escaped us that a company based on creating shoes for construction work and extreme hiking will now have a collection of hand-sewn leisure shoes. And why not? Timberland's tough and burly clientele need a break every now and then, right? The only problem is, the design of the shoe seems to be lost between a preppy suede loafer and the 'Look at me I'm still a tough guy!' image of the signature work boot. It toes the line, so to speak, between metro and macho. But perahaps that duality can be found in every man. They new collection will launch exclusively in Saks Fifth Avenue on Fashion's Night Out
in a brand new in-store pop-up shop. Each pair is $150 and the cool part is you can even watch them get made on both 'Fashion's Night Out' and on September 12.
