Dolce&Gabbana Fall ’15
Dolce&Gabbana’s Fall ’15 RTW show in Milan recently was dedicated to ‘Mothers’. It was the designers’ observation of real mothers from all over the world that gave them a new perspective on femininity. Therefore the makeup (Dolce&Gabbana cosmetics of course) highlighted perfectly matte skin with a touch of blush, soft gentle eyes and plump lips. A perfect canvas was created using The Primer to perfect and illuminate the skin, followed by Perfect Matte Liquid Foundation and Perfect Matte Concealer to highlight an impeccable base with an even skin tone. The face was delicately contoured by applying a touch of The Blush in Delight and Mauve Diamond, on the apples of the cheeks. Finally, the face look was set with a light dusting of Pressed Powder across the nose, forehead and chin, and finished with The Illuminator in Eva. The soft, gentle eye look was achieved with a soft blending of taupe from The Eyeshadow Quad in Desert and Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Leo Brown on the crease. Complementary shades of The Eyeshadow Duo in Gold were applied to the eyelid and upward towards the brow line to further enhance the eyes. The upper and bottom lash lines were amplified by applying The Khol Pencil in Chocolate and The Eyeliner in Nude on the inner rim. Along the top of the upper lash line, a defined line of The Glam Liner in Black Intense was drawn to perfect the eye. On the upper lashes, layers of Passioneyes mascara in Nero were applied for a defined lash look and a lengthening finish. Finally, a delicate brush of Perfect Mono Eyeshadow in Antique Rose was applied to complete the look. For beautiful plump lips, new Dolce Matte Lipstick in 13 shades of iconic red was applied on the lips, every model wearing a different shade. Last but not least, new Classic Cream Lipstick in Antique Rose was used to create contrast. The brows were sculpted with the The Brow Liner in Chestnut, using the nib of the pencil to create added definition. Broad strokes from the wide part of the nib were then used to fill the color outwards to the end of the brow, achieving a natural youthfulness to the face.

Redken-Hair Dolce&Gabbana Fall 15 HAIR Redken Global Creative Director Guido created a feminine, loose chignon adorned with broaches, pearls and jewels like those that might have been found in a mother’s jewelry box in the ‘50s. Using Redken’s Wind Blown 05 dry finishing spray to add airy, light texture, Guido achieved a pretty, but easy style that’s ideal for the everyday woman. “There’s always something about this feminine, beautiful Dolce&Gabbana woman that is timeless, and every season, we just reinvent the look in small ways. The whole show is about mothers, so the idea for the hair is this woman getting out of bed and just pinning her hair up in an easy, feminine and beautiful way. I created this kind of messy chignon, using pins to hold it in place and drop it over the ears a bit to add some femininity. My main product was Redken’s Wind Blown 05, which I used to get that soft, airy texture, but the real star of the look is the jewelry in the hair. These various broaches, pearls and diamonds that you might find in a mother’s jewelry box back in the ‘50’s. It’s a look that a busy mother can easily do in the morning – it’s not perfect and the accessories aren’t perfect, but that’s what gives the look its charm.” Guido, Redken Global Creative Director Products used: Redken guts 10 volumizing spray-foam mousse Redken wind blown 05 dry finishing spray Redken braid aid 03 braid defining lotion (available in salons in April) How to create the look:

  7. Spray Redken Wind Blown 05 dry finishing spray all over for airy texture
  8. Finish the look by adding accessories or jewelry of choice
