Concluding a two-week trial Beverly Hills fashion designer Anand Jon Alexander was convicted Friday of sexually assaulting girls and women, some of them aspiring models whom authorities say were lured to LA with rarely fulfilled promises of jobs and stays at luxury hotels.
The LAT reports: "The jury of six men and six women deliberated for seven days before finding Anand Jon Alexander guilty of one count of rape and 15 counts of sexual assault and other charges…During the trial, prosecutors accused Jon of using the promise of modeling jobs to lure young women and girls as young as 14 to a squalid-looking apartment in Beverly Hills, where he acted out sadistic fantasies."

The jury found the 34-year-old designer guilty of 14 felonies and two misdemeanors, including forcible rape, committing a lewd act upon a child and attempted sexual assault. Authorities say the seven victims ranged in age from 14 to 21. Jon,will be sentenced January 13 and faces life in prison, eligible for parole in 67 years.
