This isn’t technically a post about what’s new in interior decor for fall 2026. Instead, I’m taking some of fall’s top runway trends and translating them for the home. Consider this a way to add your own fashionista touch to your home decor this season.
Yes, these colors, textures and prints happen to be trending for fall 2026, but that doesn’t mean you need to take them down next year! The fall 2026 fashion trends have simply served as inspiration for a few easy updates to your home for fall.

I like the idea of changing up my home with the seasons. It’s always nice to add a few light and bright pieces for spring and summer, then bring in warmer colors, richer textures and heavier fabrics for fall and winter so we can cozy up for the cooler months ahead.

Now, I don’t claim to know a lot about interior design or interior design trends, but I do know about fashion.
Here are six fabulous fashion-inspired trends to consider when adding or replacing a few pieces in your home this season. They are all “on trend” for fall 2026, but you can enjoy them for years to come.
The fall 2026 fashion trends inspiring this post include black crocodile-embossed leather, tiger print, checks and plaid, opulence, satin and Pantone’s New York Fashion Week colors for fall.
Black Crocodile-Embossed Leather
Crocodile-embossed leather is one of those fashion trends that can instantly add polish and a little drama. For the home, I love the look in smaller furniture and decorative accessories. A black croc-embossed nightstand or decorative boxes can give a room a sophisticated, fashion-forward touch without overwhelming the space.
Everly Quinn 1Pc Nightstand With Faux Alligator-Embossed Fronts, now $599.99
This nightstand can work as an accent piece in any room of your home including your office, living room or bathroom. It makes a striking statement.
Willa Arlo Interiors Rebeka 2-Piece Faux Croco Decorative Box Set, now $51.99
These boxes are an easy way to add the trend to your home. These are perfect for stowing keys, your remote control and anything else to keep a neater space.
Tiger Print
Animal prints are trending (once again) for fall 2026, but this year tiger print is one of the most standout options. You don’t have to cover an entire room in it, either. A little tiger print goes a long way. A statement chair or area rug is enough to bring this bold trend home.

Old Hickory Tannery Hydna Tub Chair, $3,740
This velvet tiger print chair is so amazing and can make quite a statement in your home. The navy blue cushion makes it totally unique and interesting.
Bungalow Rose Nonia Animal Print Handmade Tufted Wool Gold/Black Area Rug, now $326
This rug is bold but will surprisingly work with any decor from antique to contemporary to modern.
Pantone’s Fashion Colors For Fall 2026
One of the easiest ways to bring fashion trends into your home is through color. This fall, I’m especially inspired by the colors from Pantone’s New York Fashion Week palette for fall 2026. You can see all of the Pantone Fall 2026 color trends here.
Try bringing one or two of these colors into your home with throw pillows, a vase or other decorative accents. You don’t need to redecorate an entire room to make an impact. Velvet is also trending on the runway and is a beautiful way to bring these rich fall colors into your home.
D.V. Kap Belvedere Reversible Throw Pillow, $142.13 each
These plush throw pillows will instantly transform any room. Choose two complementary colors like Pantone Muted Clay and Green Envy. (Red and green are on opposite sides of the color wheel, which makes them complementary colors.)
Murano Art Collection Vermiglio Handmade Ceramic Table Vase, now $44
Arabian Spice is one of my favorite Pantone colors for fall 2026, and this rich shade makes a beautiful statement in this luminous vase or other home accessory.
Checks And Plaid
Checks and plaid always seem right for fall, but they are especially relevant this season. Whether you prefer something classic or a little more unexpected, this is an easy print to incorporate into your home.
MacKenzie-Childs Mocha Tartan Serving Tray, $170
This tray offers a modern way to add a little plaid to your home. I’d mix this in with any other color or print, even the tiger print.
Opulence
One of the bigger fashion directions for fall 2026 is opulence. Think rich materials, decorative details and pieces that feel a little extra. For your home, this doesn’t mean everything has to be over the top. One beautiful embellished bowl or decorative accessory can bring that same luxurious feeling to a room.
Michael Aram Gold Orchid Wooden Bowl, $245
I adore the contrast of the simple, earthy wood bowl with its delicate gold floral details.
Satin
Satin is another luxurious fabric showing up in fall 2026 fashion on shoes, apparel and accessories. For the home, I love the idea of bringing in that same soft sheen through a throw, decorative pillow or other accent.
The Met x Ann Gish Venezia Embroidered Throw Blanket, $1,050
This gorgeous piece also combines two fall trends I love: opulence and satin.
Which Fashion Trend Would You Bring Home?
You don’t need to redesign your entire house to give it a fashionable update for fall. Sometimes all it takes is a new pillow, tray, vase, rug or decorative accessory inspired by something you’re seeing on the runway.
Which of these fall 2026 fashion trends would you most like to bring into your home? Would you try tiger print, croc-embossed accessories or one of Pantone’s beautiful fall colors? I think I’ll start with a few smaller pieces and work from there!
