If you’re looking for a quick wardrobe update for Spring 2026, a floral cardigan might be exactly what you need.
I’m always on the hunt for lightweight jackets this time of year because I always need one. Between cool days and evenings, unpredictable summer weather—and let’s not forget the freezing air conditioning everywhere I go—I rely on an extra layer.
Lately, I’ve been noticing classic crewneck cardigans in floral prints everywhere. From designers like Carolina Herrera and Oscar de la Renta to Veronica Beard and Alice + Olivia—but also plenty of more affordable versions.

You may already have one tucked away in your closet, so consider bringing it out this season. A floral cardigan has that subtle vintage feel, but also a kind of quiet elegance that instantly pulls a look together. It’s the kind of piece that works anywhere—from casual afternoons to more polished outings.
How to Style a Floral Cardigan
I love this styling idea (and the gorgeous sweater itself) spotted on Net-a-Porter. Wear it buttoned up (layered over a cami if you like) with white or solid-colored pants, add a few pieces of jewelry, and finish with heeled sandals. Easy and chic.
Oscar de la Renta Crystal-Embellished Wool Cardigan — $2,590
Here’s another favorite look: pair a floral cardigan with a silky midi skirt and heels for a slightly dressier feel.
Bernadette Amelia Floral-Jacquard Mohair-Blend Cardigan — $765
And of course, you can always throw one on with your favorite jeans—or even jorts—for a look that’s polished but still playful.
My Favorite Floral Cardigans (High to Low)
A floral cardigan is one of those investment pieces you can wear for years—maybe even decades. If you’re ready to splurge, there are some beautiful designer options like the ones above. But you definitely don’t have to—there are plenty of affordable finds that feel just as special.
Here are a few of my favorites:
Mid-Range
Frances Valentine Darling Cardigan — $348
Farm Rio Mixed Winter Garden Knit Cardigan — $149 (sale)
Affordable Finds
Isaac Mizrahi New York Floral Print Cardigan — $128
Ann Taylor Floral Jacquard Cardigan — $96.75 (sale)
Anthropologie Floral Crew Cardigan — $69.95
CeCe Blossom Print Crewneck Cardigan — $59.62 (sale)
Some trends come and go, but this one feels like a keeper. A floral cardigan adds personality without trying too hard—and that’s exactly the kind of style I’m drawn to.
