A perfectly tailored blazer is the quiet powerhouse of any wardrobe. You can dress it up, dress it down, and just generally throw it on over anything and everything. While oversize and menswear-inspired blazers have been on trend for a minute now, this fall and winter we’ve been noticing a shift to narrower cuts, shorter lengths and perhaps most importantly, a lack of collar or lapels. Here are some of the best ways to wear the collarless blazer trend this season.
Note: This post originally ran last month, but we’re bringing it back because collarless blazers are one of the easiest jackets to transition from winter to spring — plus many of our favorite styles are now on sale.
The Collarless Blazer Trend
While a tweedy collarless blazer (think Chanel-inspired) is a classic, there are options that are a little less ladylike that we’re loving too. Take a look at some of our favorites.

Cropped Collarless Blazers
The lack of collar lends itself well to a cropped silhouette, and we love how shorter jackets like this jacquard one from White House Black Market pair with this season’s wider leg pants.

Double Breasted Collarless Blazers
This is a great way to do a collarless style with plenty of structure, and leave it to J.Crew to make this silhouette work in a casual knit.

Blazers with Bracelet Length Sleeves
Love to show off your wrist stack? Then a blazer with bracelet length sleeves is ideal, like this style from Boden.

Tweed Collarless Blazers
No article on collarless blazers would be complete without the traditional Chanel style tweed jacket, and this version from Aritzia has just sharp enough shoulders to make the look modern.

Embellished Collarless Blazers
Looking for a festive jacket you can wear for every occasion? This beaded Karen Millen jacket is fun, glamorous, and could look great with denim, palazzo pants, or even a full skirt for the holidays.

Denim Collarless Blazers
Think of this collarless denim blazer from the Gap as the more refined version of your favorite denim jacket.

Extra-Long and Lean Collarless Blazers
If you prefer a longer cut, Madewell has you covered with the Nolita style jacket. We especially love how this cutaway silhouette defines the waist and pairs effortlessly with almost any bottom.

Ultra-Tailored Collarless Blazers
You don’t need a collar or lapels to be extra sharp, as this Reformation jacket proves.
