Animal print pieces are some of the most divisive styles out there. Those of us who love the patterns will rock them whether or not they are currently in vogue, while those who don’t pretty much never wear them if not downright loathe the look.
Love them or hate them, animal prints are showing up big this fall and the offerings are not limited to the typical leopard spots or tiger stripes (although there are plenty of those on the racks and in the stores as well).
Animal Prints For Fall 2025
Here are some of our favorite less common animal prints to wear right now.

Snakeskin
It is still the year of the snake until February, so if you love the look now is the time to pick up a few python-print or similar pieces, like these Stuart Weitzman ankle boots that would bring some new energy to your typical black and gray winter looks.

Leopard (With a Twist)
While classic leopard print never goes out of style in our book, sometimes you want to mix it up a little, like with this duster sweater from Pilcro that’s black and white with a surprise cat on your shoulder. The key to pulling something like this off without looking like a kooky cat lady (not that there’s anything wrong with that)? Keep the rest of the outfit simple and your hair and makeup impeccable.

Zebra
The bold black and white stripes can be a whole lotta look, but in small doses like on these Puma low top sneakers, it’s perfect. These would add a serious flair to a casual two-piece set or other athleisure look.

Giraffe
A little more subtle than the more common cat prints, giraffe prints can work well with fall’s browns and camels. And this Aqua via Bloomingdale’s button-up with actual giraffes is a little whimsical, but also tailored enough to wear with a camel blazer and denim, or layer it under a tan, olive or chocolate brown v-neck for a more subtle look.

Lynx
Like giraffe print, lynx prints are a little more subtle and mix in well with earth tones. A lynx faux fur like this one from Ferryhill is a great option if you’re in the market for a new “fun” coat this winter, and it’s neutral enough to work with most cold weather bottoms.

Crocodile and Alligator
Exotic skins never really go out of style, but we’re liking leather embossed with croc or gator print lately. JW Pei captures the look (but not the price tag) perfectly. Their Harlee shoulder bag has an unusual shape that stands out as well.

Tortoiseshell
Always a classic, tortoiseshell hair clips, sunglasses, and other accessories are perfect for fall and winter. We love a wide tortoiseshell bangle or cuff over a sweater sleeve in the winter. While you can find the look at every price point, why not try it out with something cheap and cheerful like this one that’s only $12.99 via Amazon?
