Creed Unveils Two New Fragrances
The Creed fragrance vault has been unlocked and the company is reintroducing what used to be called Windsor as Royal Mayfair, which was originally commissioned by the Duke of Windsor almost 80 years ago. Due to be launched Aug. 1 at Neiman Marcus, the original formula of Royal Mayfair, which comes in 30-, 75-, 120-, 250- and 500-ml. versions for $240, $360, $475, $650 and $935, opens with British gin, Jamaican lime and Scottish highland pine, a heart of Duke of Windsor roses and a base of Bahamian orange, Canadian cedar and Australian eucalyptus.
Creed will also unveil Royal Princess Oud, a blend of bitter Sicilian bergamot, rose and sweet violet atop jasmine, vanilla absolute essential oils, aldehyde herbaceous patchouli and iris from Tuscany and a drydown of benjoin siam, sandalwood from the south of India and styrax. Royal Princess Oud will be sold at the Madison Avenue Creed boutique in September and in November at Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bergdorf Goodman and Holt Renfrew.
Sally Beauty Official Hair and Nail Sponsor of Project Runway
Sally Beauty Supply LLC, America’s largest specialty retailer of beauty products, has announced their official hair and nail sponsorship for Season 14 of Lifetime’s Emmy-nominated show, Project Runway. The on-set Sally Beauty Studio will feature products which are exclusively available at Sally Beauty stores. Each week, Gregory Patterson, lead hair stylist for Project Runway, will put those products to the ultimate test in creating a variety of hair and nail styles to complete the model’s looks for every runway challenge. Project Runway Season 14 will premiere on Thursday, August 6, at 9PM ET/PT on Lifetime. Sally Beauty will be providing the winner of Project Runway with a one-year supply of products and the opportunity to consult with Sally Beauty to create a limited edition “FingerPaints” nail color collection. Products featured on the show include brands sold exclusively at Sally Beauty including ION, Beyond the Zone, Hot Shot Tools and Silk Elements.
J. Crew Launching New Division
J.Crew Group will launch a new retail division, J.Crew Mercantile, selling value-driven merchandise with classic J.Crew style for women, men and children. The first J.Crew Mercantile location is planned to open in late July at The Shops at Park Lane in Dallas. Once only available in J. Crew Factory stores, the collection is designed exclusively for J. Crew Factory and now will also be in J.Crew Mercantile locations.
