Finally it’s the finale of the Real Housewives of New York and my mom is hooked. She is still horrified, but slightly hooked. “These women are so pathetic.” I agree but explain there is little real about reality TV and that they are laughing all the way to the bank. Anyway, we miss the first 15 minutes because I didn’t know it was starting early and again, I don’t have a DVR…which is probably for the best. I’m winging it again. Bags have finally gotten a rock star moment. Guitar strap bags were seen on the Fall ’16 runways of Lanvin, Prada, Valentino, Burberry and Fendi. Now they are being knocked off by more reasonably priced brands like Rebecca Minkoff (which knocks off everything) to Steve Madden (who also knocks off everything). Look for extra wide, embellished straps. This is going to be the must-have bag of Fall ’16
I love what the fashion industry dubs “Pre-Fall.” In my opinion it’s that perfect time of year when it’s not the scorching summer heat but not yet the super cold weather many of us have come to dread – I mean, it’s really hard to look super cute when there are subzero temps outside! It’s that in-between time of year that allows you to wear leathers and suedes, boots and throw in a little bit of fur but still be comfortable, warm and stylish.
