Guests and shoppers were treated to wonderful surprises at Kiehl’s Grand Opening Celebration at The Shops at North Bridge on Michigan Avenue in Chicago last Friday. Greeted by Kiehl’s mascots, jugglers and a balloon twisters, the first 160 patrons received a complimentary full-sized Ultra Facial Cleaner, and prizes worth up to $250 were raffled off during the event. Karnival inspired snacks were served by Moto Chefs and Top Chef Texas contestants Chris Jones and Richie Farina. Kiehl’s U.S. President Chris Salgardo was in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony and I was able to speak to him. He told me he has been using Kiehls for 22 years, even before he was with the company and has always recommended the products. He said he calls them “intelligent products” because of the superior ingredients and reasonable prices! For the windy Chicago weather, he was glad he brought extra-moisturizing products for day! His skin looked awesome and I thought he was much younger than his age. He said “It is not about looking younger, but looking your best!”
