As we have reported several times, leather is the ‘must-have’ of the Fall 12/13 season. However, right now we are going to focus on the leather skirt. When it comes to the leather skirt circa 2012 (as opposed to the 90’s version which you should have cleared from your closet long ago) you can’t go wrong with black, pleated and above the knee. If that cut and color don’t work for you, look for a dark color like deep oxblood and a leather midi or a pencil skirt. For those of you who are anti-leather, never fear…we have some faux leather picks for you and they are just as chic. In fact, I bought the KARL faux-leather mini (#8 above) last February and I still adore it and get tons of compliments whenever I wear it. So there! Personally I love the pleated mini with a men’s-cut crisp white or chambray shirt paired with a blazer and booties, but feel free to match it with whatever. It’s hard to mess it up.
