In producing that matte look, Pecheux used MAC Cosmetics, commissioning their Studio Moisture Fix, Fast Response Eye Cream, Lip Conditioner and Fix + to prep the skin. When it came to producing the matte look, he used Pro Longwear Foundation to create flawless skin and Mineralize Concealer for under eyes. The Cubic Blusher was applied low on the cheek, and Gesso Cueshadow was used to highlight the cheek.
“The inspiration is very sleek,” said Petreux. “We tried it with strong makeup, and that was making the girl look old, and we wanted to keep that freshness, because in the clothes, you feel that there is a lot of incredible tailoring, but very playful. It’s all kind of a chiffon dress, very loose — you don’t show anything, but you imagine everything. It’s very sexy, and we did not want the girl to look like a slut.”
The inner rim of the eye and upper and lower lash lines were lined with Fascinating Eye Kohl Pencil, diffused slightly with Gesso Eyeshadow to create a veil effect. The Artists painted a wash of Breezy Blusher through the socket line, and groomed the eye brows with a clear brow set.
“White matte, a lipstick with powder to keep it matte,” says Petreux, “a rouge-y eyeshadow blush that we use on the eyes and cheek. This is makeup to flatter each girl, so we have adapted to if it’s darker skin, or lighter skin. At the end, it’s a matter of layering.
Nails were done with Essie’s “Little Brown Dress,” a sleek brown:
