Super high heel killer pumps are back in style for fall 2023. Here's how they were shown on the runway at Prada.
I choose to gaze at these gorgeous Tom Ford pumps in croc embossed blue leather, but prefer to wear a pair of low 2” heel point toe pumps like these from Franco Sarto in soft blue suede.
Over-the-knee boots hit the runways in a variety of neutral and bold colors and styles from sock boots to slouchier hip-wading styles. These were spotted at Stella McCartney.
You may not want a pair of super high and wide over the knee boots like this Bottega Veneta pair but I found these stretchy Charles by Charles David over the knee boots with a lower, 2-3/4″ heel.
Bows are a trend for fall 2023 apparel and many designers showed bows on shoes. Super overszed floor-grazing bows were shown at Balmain
These Ferragamo Emii buckle bow satin pumps are so divine, but the heel and the bow are a bit extreme. An easier to wear pair at a less extreme price are these kate spade new york bow slingbacks.
I am personally fond of mules because they are easy to wear and are usually comfortable. The mules for fall 2023 were tall and mighty like this pair at JW Anderson.
The silhouette of these point-toe Bottega Veneta Tokyo calfskin mules is amazing, but the heel is too high for most women over 50. These cool and equally modern André Assous Featherweight wedge mules are more our speed!
Wonderful to look at, but not so practical to wear are the 4″ plus high sculptural curvy wedges like these that were shown at Ferragamo.
This Botegga Veneta pair is a work of art, but you can take them down a notch (a half inch which makes a difference) and actually feel comfortable in these SARTO by Franco Sarto square toe wedge pumps.
This last trend is really out-there, but doesn’t it look cozy? Furry shoes walked the runways at Khaite
I wouldn’t go full on teddy bear like these high heel pumps from Stella McCartney because they're a bit like wearing stuffed toys on your feet. But these faux shearling Yosi Samra scuffs can be a fun way to sport the furry trend with very little investment.
