You may be familiar with Zazu Salons & Day Spas, they have five locations in the Chicago area (Hinsdale, Naperville, Wheaton and Chicago), but you must visit the Zazu Exchange! This is their most recent addition located in the heart of downtown Naperville. Zazu Salon, a 26-year-old family business, recently opened this retail space with a fabulous concept. You can receive beauty services in exchange for your beauty product purchases!
Most of us have easily spent $50 on beauty products, right? Well, how would you like to get a Blowout or Brow Wax, just for purchasing those products? That’s the idea at Zazu Exchange. When you buy their beauty products you become eligible to receive beauty services for hair, skin and nails…for free!

I had the opportunity to visit the beautiful salon at 135 S. Washington Street. It’s one of the oldest buildings in downtown Naperville. It has been revamped with white marble floors, crystal chandeliers – and loaded with everyone’s favorite hair and beauty products!

Owner and general manager, Anthony Segretto explained to me with so many beauty retail stores like Sephora and Ulta popping up nearby they came up with the idea of the Zazu Exchange. “For example, if a customers purchases Kérastase shampoo and conditioner, they may spend around $75. Instead of offering coupons or discounts like stores, we are offering services. We thought they might like a 50 minute massage! And they get to try out our services.”

Spend $30 or more and earn a NYX Makeup Application.
Spend $50 or more and earn either a Blowout or a Brow Wax.
Spend $100 or more and earn either a classic manicure or a classic pedicure.
Spend $150 or more and earn a 50 minute Swedish Massage.
Spend $200 or more and earn a 60 minute Classic Facial.
Zazu Exchange Services
I can tell you first-hand, the services (with their super warm and friendly stylists) are indeed fantastic! They back up the exchange concept and Zazu will have you coming back for more.
My first service was for a blow-out with stylist Brittany. She wrapped my head in warm towel (ahhh) after she washed my hair with customized hair products. She listened to my concerns about my hair and then showed me the products she used to style my hair! The Kérastase Nutritive Nectar Thermique blow dry care for dry hair was just what I needed!
Next I met Molly for a makeup application. I let her do whatever she wanted and thankfully Molly prefers a natural look in makeup. She gave me great tips (I need to use more brown and peach shades for my eyeshadows) and then she tacked on temporary false lashes just for the day! They were comfortable, fun and I loved batting them! Then I simply had to purchase a NYX Butter Gloss shade she used on me called Praline.
I was very happy with my hair and makeup from the Zazu Exchange. What a great experience!
