Madeleine's Olive Cheese Balls


Ingredients

  • 40 pimento stuffed large green olives
  • 1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups finely shredded natural cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • dash fresh paprika

Instructions

  1. Strain and pat dry 40 pimento stuffed large green olives.

  2. Mix together cheddar cheese with flour. Stir in 1/2 cup of room temperature butter. Season with a bit of fresh paprika.When the dough is the consistency of raw sugar cookies wrap each of the olives.

  3. Place on an ungreased sheet pan for at least an hour and up to 24 hours. If you would like to freeze them do this after they have been refrigerated so they do not stick together.

  4. When you are ready to bake them preheat the oven to 400 degrees and cook them for 20 minutes, or lightly browned. They should be served warm. Your guests will likely eat them before they cool.
