Chic White Dresses For Summer From $30 To $90

There’s nothing better to wear on a carefree summer day than a crisp white dress. It’s like a breath of fresh air that keeps you cool in the sunshine. While wearing white might not be the most practical outfit choice for a busy day, especially with children involved, once in a while it’s fun to put on a feminine dress. With the world safely starting to open back up, I know I’m personally excited to wear my summer dresses and ditch the loungewear and tee shirts. Luckily, there are many white dresses for summer to choose from for all different occasions, and I’ve rounded up the chicest styles under $90!

Long Sleeved White Dresses

If you prefer to keep your arms covered or are searching for a dress you can wear with a jacket in springtime when the weather is a little chillier and unpredictable, this white dress from ASOS would be perfect. It would also make a fabulous poolside coverup. The round neck with tie detail and lace panels on the sleeves give it a little bit of a bohemian vibe. Pair with tights and booties now, and pack in your suitcase for vacation later!

White Dresses Featuring Eyelet and Chiffon

I love airy materials like eyelet and chiffon for summer! Lucky for us, this puffed sleeve eyelet dress from J. Crew has been marked way down to a very reasonable price. The tiny buttons on the front are feminine, and the dress is also available in aqua and navy. This dress would be a worthwhile investment, as you could wear it for many occasions such as a date night dinner or a garden party or BBQ with family and friends.

If you love chiffon, this affordable shift dress from Amazon looks a lot more expensive than it actually is. It features adorable embroidered polka dots and the silhouette is relaxed, making it very comfortable and flattering. This dress has two white versions – one with a v neck and elegant sleeves and a more streamlined version with a rounded neck and simpler sleeves. You can also buy it in black or blush pink!

White Maxi Dresses

Maxi dresses continue to trend season after season, and as far as white maxi dresses go, I like this breezy dress from ASOS. It would be equally fitting worn on the beach with flip flops, sunglasses and a straw tote as it would with sandals and a statement necklace at brunch with friends. The stretch waist, puffed sleeves and v neck would be very flattering on an array of body types.

White Dresses for Formal Occasions

With things slowly getting back to normal, you might be thinking of buying dresses for more formal or professional occasions. This sheath dress from Express is one of the most flattering dresses I have seen in a while. It almost reminds me of Pippa Middleton’s famous bridesmaid dress. Its mock neck and draped sleeves are very sophisticated, and you can also purchase this dress in black or an earthy red hue. This would be the ultimate power dress for the office accessorized with an oversized vintage watch and sleek pumps.

Long, Floral White Dresses

White floral maxi dresses? Yes, you can combine three trends with any of these dresses! This tie neck tiered dress from Old Navy features a pretty hibiscus print and will keep you cool during hot summer days. You could easily throw a light sweater or denim jacket over it, too. I would wear with a swipe of red lipstick and simple sandals or slip-on sneakers.

This floral dress from H&M is drop dead gorgeous and made from organic cotton! It’s another dress that looks a lot more expensive than it actually is. The wraparound v neck, removable tie belt and balloon sleeves make this dress so unique. Fun fact? Print designers at H&M picked their favorite wildflowers and created the beautiful floral print with watercolor. Let this dress make the statement! I would keep it simple and style with small gold hoops and a dainty necklace.

Last but not least, Target always has a terrific selection of affordable dresses. Part of the retailer’s offering this year is this pretty white midi length smock dress featuring small blue flowers. The shoulder straps are thick and look like they would stay put without annoying straps slipping off your shoulders! This dress is also available in bright red featuring white flowers or black with a colorful, whimsical floral pattern. Pair with anything from sandals, to slip-on sneakers to open toe booties.

How to Style White Dresses for Summer

  • Wearing a simple white dress? Add bright pops of color to your look with your shoes, a bag or other accessories.
  • If you opt for a floral maxi dress, let the dress make the statement and keep your accessories to a minimum. However, a bright lip or simple layered gold necklaces would work well here.
  • Short women can wear maxi dresses too! If your dress is too long, take it to a tailor to get hemmed, or break out your sewing machine.
  • Dealing with rain spots or annoying yellow stains on your white dress? Soak the area in white vinegar, or add ¼ cup of white vinegar to the end of a load of all white clothes as they finish in the washing machine.
