What To Wear To Every Type Of Wedding

Attending a wedding can be incredibly fun, sentimental and memorable. But it can also be pretty stressful due to all the guest etiquette rules and various dress codes to contend with (and what’s with some of them? “Modern Victorian”, “country couture”, and “fancy vibes” are not actual things. But we digress.). We looked for what to wear to every type of wedding. Here are some options that will work for nearly all of them.

What To Wear To Every Type Of Wedding: Jumpsuits

Not a dress person? No worries, there are so many chic jumpsuits and one pieces available now. We particularly love this black Norma Kamali off the shoulder style. You can wear it after the wedding too. I fact, I think this piece could be a wardrobe staple.

Separates

A sleek little top like this Eliza J. scalloped halter paired with a celebratory skirt like this contemporary number by Milly would be perfect for a variety of weddings and their varying dress codes. Plus you might be more likely to wear the individual pieces in the future.

Tuxedos

It requires impeccable tailoring, but wearing a suit or tuxedo to a wedding can be incredibly elegant. Tom Ford does tuxedos exceptionally well, and you can (and should) invest in these pieces and proceed to wear them forever. They will never go out of style.

Column Dresses

For more formal weddings, something like the short-sleeved Badgley Mischka pearl-trimmed column is perfect, while this Laura Siegel silk Desra dress is ideal for more casual ceremonies.

Sundresses

Outdoor, destination or similarly casual weddings call for sundresses, and we’re big fans of these classic with a modern twist styles by Chelsea28.

Struggling with what to wear to an upcoming wedding? We’ve got you covered with these options. On a related note, what’s the most insane wedding or special event dress code you’ve ever seen or heard of?
