What To Wear Now: Booting Up For Fall

Best-Boots-Fall-2015 Ah, boot weather. How we’ve missed you! If you are anything like us, you love fall clothes – cozy sweaters, scarves, jackets, and of course, chic boots. And while the most trendy styles do change over the years, there are a couple of pairs of boots that every woman should have in her arsenal, and tend to be worth the investment since they never seem to go out of style. Here are some of our favorite examples: Basic Black (or Brown) Knee Boots: These are a perpetual classic for a reason – they flatter most women, they can dress up or down almost any outfit and they work well with skinny pants, leggings and dresses. These Clarks boots are sleek and elegant, and would work with a variety of personal styles. The point of these boots is to subtly complement an outfit and not steal the show. Simple Booties: Like the knee boots, these too really never go out of style, although one silhouette or another tends to be more popular depending on the season. This year it is chunkier boots with a thicker heel like these from Zara which can be better for dealing with winter snow and ice too. They also look perfect with fall’s return to boot-cut or flared pants. Rain Boots: If you live somewhere rainy, a solid pair of rain boots is a necessity, perhaps in a fun color to perk up a gray day. Or go shiny with patent-look black like these Hunters. This is one area where you want to splurge because cold wet feet will always ruin your day. Trendy Boots: Right now, booties with cutouts, Chelsea boots and boots with fringe is are all popular, so pick a favorite! That said, these taupe suede Stuart Weitzman knee boots are a modern way to do the fringed look, and these Asos Everleigh ankle boots have a simple cut out and a contemporary shape. Rockstar Boots: These are your wild card. Go with any style that makes you feel like a diva or queen who can kick some ass. They can be cowboy boots, over-the-knee styles, embellished or animal print boots or virtually anything else. These Acne ankle boots with the metallic copper heel are standouts but not too costume-y for every day. 1. Clarks® ‘Pita Dakota’ Tall Boot, $209.95 2.
