What To Pack For A Quick Winter Getaway

Winter Getaway Style

With the holidays over and all of the excitement and cheer now dying down, the cold hard reality of the rest of the winter is glaring us in the face. I know I’m not the only one asking myself: what now? It’s time for a quick winter getaway. I’ve always made it a goal to hightail it out of town during these long, boring winter months, and as some like beachy vacations, there is still a place in many of our hearts for enjoying a winter wonderland. We want to make the best of the cold weather and snow, so for the first post of 2019, I’d like to highlight the perfect gear to take on your winter vacation getaway.

Winter Looks From The Runway

Runway shows presented a huge sampling of wintery apparel perfect for a winter getaway. While some of them were a little over-the-top like 3.1 Phillip Lim’s oversized puffer coats, others were perfect to wear either for a long weekend out in the country or a date night on the town with your partner. Some of my favorites in that category came down the Balenciaga runway which boasted bright colors and mixed media fabrics. It’s definitely safe to say, designers made sure to give us options and stayed away from the usual one size fits all styles.

How To Wear Winter Gear

Winter clothing for a winter getaway

OK, so I’m not going to pretend that swooshing around on the ski slopes or participating in any cold weather activity is my ideal getaway, but I can take one for the team every now and then. If I’m able to wear some of my winter’s best and look chic, I can enjoy some cold weather fun. I love a great coat and winter accessories so I can see myself out and about in this Eileen Fisher Wool Blend Short Jacket paired with the Eugenia Kim Rochelle hat. Say what you want about the huge fur puff ball at the top, but that is still such a playful and fun hat trend I can’t help but continue to adore! Also, I don’t think anyone needs an excuse to wear these Rene Caovilla Combat Boots. The velvet may not be so snow-friendly, but you’d be the most stylish gal in the ski lodge when you rock them while sipping your spiked cocoa by the fire! Check out the list below for some of my other winter favorites.
