Wearable Trend Alert: Oxford Shoes – Stylish, Sexy And Comfy

Oxfords-FashionTrend-Shoes- Wearable Trends -Fall 2015 Trends-Menswear-Inspired Long gone are the days where we have to wear spiked stilettos, skyrocketing heels or uncomfortable pumps to assert our dominance in the workforce, home-force or a romantic and/or social rendezvous. These days we ladies can rock a sexy and powerful look without the pinched feet and aching toes. Believe me, I love a good 5” heel as much as the next gal, but sometimes you just…can’t. Let’s leave that for the younger crowd! Cut to the oxford shoe. Coveted as this season’s go-to comfort option, the oxford shoe has taken a common menswear item and twisted it on its head to accommodate the style and comfort needed for modern woman and our busy lifestyles. The oxford shoe was seen all over the Fall/Winter runways (and more recently for Spring/Summer 2016) and now that they are starting to translate into our everyday wear for the season, more and more options are popping up. Going super traditional with a classic black or black patent leather or a cognac brown is a no-brainer. These versions can take you from early fall all the way into spring thaw. However, my favorite options are the much more poppy versions which I’ve seen in metallic silver and gold, spectator black and white, pony hair of all colors, leopard prints, and other fun patterns. It’s amazing how adding this shoe style into your wardrobe can take you easily from day-to-night (something we all want to do – as I don’t like carrying an extra pair of shoes with me during my daily commute!) and can add a bit of allure and unexpected excitement to you favorite boyfriend jeans and cashmere sweater. You can find a stunning pair of oxfords for $50 or $500, so you don’t need to sacrifice anything about your current lifestyle to stay on trend. And again, these are sexy! So spare your feet from the towering platforms that aren’t conducive to the things we ladies rocking it out in our 30s and beyond take on during our day-to-day lives. The confidence that you’ll exude when sporting your favorite pair oxfords is all you need. Get the Look: 1. Kate Spade New York ‘Carmila’ Oxford, $278 2. Zero + Maria Cornejo Jae Oxfords, $575 3.
