I know we don’t typically cover children’s clothing, but when a new, hip line launches I just can’t help myself…especially as the mother of two boys who would like to outfit them in something other than Ralph Lauren and Gap. So when I recently learned one of my favorite brands, Vince, was debuting a kids collection this fall, I just had to share the news.

I have owned Vince sweaters for years, but lately – I’d say the past few seasons – I have found myself acquiring pieces other than sweaters. In fact, I am really into their shoes. But I digress. The contemporary brand best known for modern, effortless styles for both women and men is venturing into children’s clothing and will be launching the debut collection this fall!

Jill Granoff, CEO of Vince states, “We are thrilled to expand Vince into childrenswear, and offer our customers cool kids clothes that embody the Vince brand DNA. Tawil has done a great job translating Vince ready-to-wear to the world of kids and we are delighted to take this next step forward as we evolve Vince into being a global lifestyle brand.”

Designed for children ages 4 to 14, the Vince Kids collection features classic pieces for everyday effortless dressing with the same modern aesthetic adults have come to appreciate. A palette of heather grey and coastal navy is offset by notes of fuchsia, imperial purple, raspberry and horizon blue with pops of winter white. For girls, the Dip Dye V-Neck and Side Split Crew Neck Sweater with contrast stripe detail are classic yet striking pieces; the Faux Fur Vest is a luxe topper. For boys, the Dobby Button Down pairs well with classic denim topped with the Birds-Eye Beanie and Scarf. For girls, pricing ranges from $24 to $598; for boys, prices range from $34 to $398.

Rebecca Damavandi, Group President of Global Business Development at Vince says, “The launch of Vince Kids is not only a natural extension of our brand, but is also the result of high demand from our retail partners and core customer base. In executing the collection it was vital for us to ensure that the product would uphold the same design aesthetic as our existing RTW lines, with equal attention to detail, quality, comfort and style to deliver the everyday luxury essentials that Vince has become known for.” Vince Kids will be available later this month at Barney’s, Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Saks Fifth Avenue, Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom as well as select Vince retail locations and at Vince.com.
