Here we go. Vacation season is upon us. Hot or cold climate destinations…you need something to wear right? For those heading to a sunny destination, swimwear boutiques are selling sexy one-pieces with cutouts and bikinis in bold colors and graphic prints. For cover-ups, women are choosing dresses that may be worn both by the pool and out to dinner. For ski, women are bundling up in winter white ski pants and fur.

"Very vibrant, saturated colors, like our reef — a royal blue — and mango — a bright, orangy red — are selling more than the black and white, which we always carry."

Holiday trends: "We’ve been selling more of our transitional pieces than our straight-up performance pieces," designer Erin Isakov said. "A lot of people are just buying the bottoms without whole outfits because they want that sexier fit that they can even wear around town when they are not skiing, and our biggest seller is our least technical ski pant. I just did trunk shows in Florida, and our biggest seller was our Zoe shearling vest. It’s pricier — the second most expensive piece in the line. You can really envision luxury and seeing yourself in a resort town."

Holiday trends: "Eye-catching patterns and feminine colors are also popular, because when you are on the hill, it’s hard to distinguish your femininity, and women are looking to stand out," a store spokeswoman said. "There is also definitely a trend toward white; not necessarily the white coat, but definitely white underlayers."
