Top Off Your Look With Versatile Layers

As much as I love summer, I’m not mad at the slightly cooler weather. It’s still sunny and warm, just slightly more brisk and refreshing. I’ve been changing my wardrobe ever so slightly to incorporate more cozy tops and sweaters. Eventually I will start wearing jackets on a daily basis, but for now I’ll stick to planning my layered looks for fall. It’s never too early to start organizing your wardrobe with versatile layers, and you don’t have to spend a fortune. I found some fabulous looks for less.

Top Off Your Look With Versatile Layers

This pullover sweater from Anthropologie has a homespun feel but is flattering and modern. It would look equally great in the office with cream or navy pants or on the weekends with worn-in denim. If you love an even brighter pop of color, this season Urban Outfitters is offering up a versatile sweater in a vibrant shade of blue. It comes in eight colors, so if you prefer violet or another more neutral color, they’ve got it. I like the relaxed, refreshing take on a classic crew neck ribbed sweater and could easily add this into my go-to sweater rotation later on this year.

If you are looking for a unique top to wear in the evenings, look no further than this feminine black lace top from Anthropologie. It’s flattering, especially because of its silhouette and tie in the back, and the detailing down the arms and on the neckline is beautiful. Wear it with gold jewelry and skinny jeans for a casual night or red lipstick, or a midi skirt and pumps for a fancier occasion.

This chic and cozy jacket from Topshop features black denim and lots of texture perfect for cool nights. It would work well with many outfits and occasions; especially because it’s black. There’s also a blue denim and white version that would match more casual looks. ASOS put a fun, fresh spin on a classic suede biker jacket for the season.  I love the gray color and modern fit. It would look sophisticated layered over many different outfits, especially black and white monochromatic looks.

Enjoy and soak up the warm, brisk weather and prep for the seasons ahead by stocking up on cozy layers!
