The Critics Choice Awards 2018 Fashion: Best and Worst Dressed Celebrities

I guess I still may not be over my shock at seeing all the black dresses at the Golden Globes, but I was just so happy to see color at Critics Choice Awards this year. With this exception of Reese Witherspoon, who wore black again (and a short mini, say what?) and Laura Dern, many of the stars chose lighter tones and bold, interesting colors, fabrics and silhouettes. Let’s take a look at the Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion.

Colors
Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Olivia Munn
Olivia Munn in Prada

Olivia Munn skipped the Golden Globes due to illness, but she’s all smiles here and looking fabulous! She also hosted the show.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Allison Janney
Allison Janney in Michael Cinco

I think it’s always a hit or a miss with Allison Janney, but this dress is a clear hit.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Allison Williams
Allison Williams in Dolce & Gabbana

Surprisingly, the colors are not what I would normally expect from Dolce & Gabbana, but I still love the combination, and of course, their constant sheer artistry. This gown looks fab on Allison Williams.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Chrsissy Metz
Chrissy Metz in Eloquii

I think this might just be the best I’ve ever seen Chrissy Metz look. Something about this dress really brings out something in her — she usually wears dark tones, although I can’t fault her all the time because she did try to wear color.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Jessica Biel
Jessica Biel in Oscar de la Renta

Although I liked her pink-black Dior dress at the Golden Globes, I think Jessica Biel looks better in bolder, jewel tones.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Jessica Chastain
Jessica Chastain in Vionnet

This just happens to be the perfect color for Jessica Chastain.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Samira Wiley
Samira Wiley in Rebecca Vallance

Haven’t seen enough people in the off-the-shoulder trend, which I love, especially on Samira Wiley.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Octavia Spencer
Octavia Spencer in Tadashi Shoji

Octavia Spencer went back to a designer she can rely on, and has worn a few times in the past. I’m liking the color.

Metallics and Light Colors
Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Saoirse Ronan
Saoirse Ronan in Michael Kors

Not a fan of her pale face and dark lips, but I do like the dress on Saoirse Ronan. You don’t see enough people wearing this kind of silhouette and it’s very flattering.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Rachel Brosnahan
Rachel Brosnahan in Zuhair Murad

Rachel Brosnahan is the toast of the town so she had to bring it.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion
Mary Elizabeth Winstead in Delpozo
Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Kate Bosworth
Kate Bosworth in Brock Collection

I would like this gown, if the bow didn’t look so deformed and if the lace didn’t make me think of a wedding dress. Sorry Kate Bosworth.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie in Ralph & Russo

Well, Angelina Jolie isn’t wearing black, thank the Lord!

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Diane Kruger

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Reese Witherspoon

No Reese Witherspoon, no! Granted her shoes are cool AS but her knees? Not so much.

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion
Elisabeth Moss in Erdem

Elisabeth Moss is a great actress. Can she please just wear something that fits?

Critics Choice Awards 2018 fashion Lesie Mann
Leslie Mann

I feel like Leslie Mann picked the ugliest burnt orange and brown colors of the ugliest oversize sleeve dress out there right now.

Do you agree with my picks?
