With buttons down the front and a more revealing neckline, this black linen midi dress by ASOS is quite a steal. The sleeves are a bit more romantic, the buttons are more statement-making, and it’s definitely not too short. The dress is also available in plus, tall and petite sizes.
While not as fitted as Amal’s Balenciaga wonder, this H&M dress with a collar is the perfect option for work or play. Sure it’s a bit more swingy and the buttons aren’t as pronounced, but doesn’t that make it less stiff, does it?

2. Wear a dress with sleeves. Long or short, if you have sleeves on you can forgo a jacket and still be business (and United Nations Security Council) appropriate. A modest black dress can be worn from work to a wedding to a funeral. Everyone needs a black dress like this.
3. Elongate your look with nude heels. We adore Amal’s Gianvito Rossi beige suede pumps because they elongate her legs (even more) and don’t take away from the black dress. I love Amal’s style. Like the black dress too. It’s the simple neckline I like. Wish there was a similar one cheaper with the same neckline.
Well, it’s no fair. That woman would look fabulous in a potato sack. I do like that the dress is vintage. Her figure is enviable. Her makeup just perfect. I don’t have a little black dress.
