Crop Pants, Woo-hoo! Now…What About The Shoes?

We’re all looking forward to wearing crop pants from wide leg to slim or flared for spring. Crop pants will be an opportunity to show off your shoes! Right, but now there’s a new dilemma. What kind of shoes should you wear with cropped pants, and comfortably, please? With such an emphasis on shoes some of us (like me) don’t exactly have the prettiest feet to show off or when you are no longer 25, most women really don’t want to bear the pain of gorgeous stilettos, or treachery of teetering on 5″ wedge sandals. As usual, there are always options. You can find a crop-pant-worthy-to show-off shoe that give the illusion of a super exciting shoe without any risk or bodily injury. You won’t appear like you are trying too hard either. shoes-for-Isabel-Marant-crop-pants Crop pants look best with sandals that lead the eye upward, like this season’s trendy lace ups! These Stuart Weitzman Legwrap lace-up suede sandals look amazing with these Isabel Marant Kyler Taffeta Pants but I don’t know too many women who can make it in 4.5″ heels. Take a break on your feel and save some cab fare in a lower block heel sandal like these Rebecca Minkoff Issa Gladiator Sandals. red-shoes-for-Giambattista-Valli-crop-pants This look with Giambattista Valli cropped satin-jacquard slim-leg pants is so perfect with the  pair of closed-toe red suede heels as shown above. But you can take the heel down to an even more comfortable level with this Sole Society ‘Tamra’ Pointy Toe Pump. The criss-cross straps give the same illusion, are so much easier to wear and give more support than skinny laces, too! sandals-for-stella-crop-Jeans With crop flares like these Stella McCartney Skinny Kick Jeans you don’t need to make this much of a sky-high statement! These See by Chloe Robin Slides are much more practical (and safer) than the Sergio Rossi’s on the model. Save your money and your Achilles tendon. gucci-ruffle-crop-pant-Fendi-tstaps-ysl-tribute-sandal Remember what I said about trying too hard? Sure this Gucci Ruffled silk flared pants and Striped leather platform pumps runway ensemble is fabulous but a bit too much. The ridiculously high platforms work because the T-straps elongates and balances and fills in the cropped area around the ankle. You can still invest in designer but go with more practical shoes like these Fendi Chameleon Patent Leather Block Sandals, or find a another reason to purchase (my favorite) Saint Laurent Tribute Patent Leather Platform Sandals with the lower heels with a 3″ pitch.
