Sassoon Chicago: Meet Assistant Color Director Ronnie Williams!

Native Chicagoan Ronnie Willams is back in town! She started her career working in the downtown Chicago salon as a color apprentice in 2002 and after completing her training, she qualified as a Sassoon Colorist in 2004. For the last 6 years Ronnie was as Sassoon Colorist at the Sassoon Miami Salon and now she moved back to take on the role of Assistant Color Director at Sassoon Chicago.

I visited the salon for a much needed color and cut and style. Ronnie is very friendly and upbeat and makes you feel right at home. We decided to keep my color the same since I have been happy with my Sassoon color for years! I get highlights and low-lights and to cover more of my gray hair at the roots, she suggested a semi-permant color on the third part (or usually uncolored) portions of my hair.

Ronnie told me in Miami she had many requests for Bayalage (hand painted highlights) so if you want a beachy look, ask for Ronnie! She also said that the best part of her job is the opportunity to work with so many different people, both her co-workers and her clients.

Next it was back to Courtney Scott for my cut and style! I have known her for many years at Sassoon Chicago. She expertly cut and styled my freshly colored hair as well as gave me tips on her favorite products to use to add some volume to my hair because it is rather fine. I loved what a little dose of Kerastase Baume Double JE Multi-Talented Styling Balm (medium hold) did for my hair.
