Metallic Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are typically effortless to wear, and this pleated metallic maxi dress from Banana Republic is no exception! It brings elegance with its artful pleating and feminine neckline. This showstopping silver dress would be perfect for any New Year’s Eve party, paired with dainty heels and a statement necklace or earrings. You can always wear this dress again in warmer weather to a wedding or another dressy party too.

New Year’s Eve Sequins Dresses

Sequins are always perfect for New Year’s Eve! If you’re going for a classic holiday look, this dress from H&M comes in dark green or black and red sequins and would look great with black tights and heels. Its three-quarter length sleeves and V neck in the back are both flattering. This dress would also be complemented by bold statement jewelry or bright lipstick.

Classic Wrap Dress

This dress from Banana Republic is a more affordable version of Diane Von Furstenberg’s classic wrap dress. I love the red leopard print! It would be so fun to wear on New Year’s Eve with black tights, gold jewelry and bright red lipstick. This dress would also be easy to wear in the summer months with black sandals.

Floral Dresses for Winter

Laura Ashley is getting a refresh with an exclusive collection with Urban Outfitters, which has a lot of beautiful floral pieces. One of my favorites is this long sleeve floral printed dress. It would look chic paired with black or gray tights, berry colored lipstick and minimal jewelry. This dress is a feminine, unexpected dress to wear to ring in 2020. Throw a leather jacket over it to toughen up your look a bit.

Suits to Mix and Match

This sophisticated suit from ASOS is a gorgeous color! Its flattering fit and the fact that you can buy the pants and blazer separately make it a purchase you can easily justify. You’ll wear it again and again together and as separates. The suit can be dressed up for a party with a lace camisole, heels, sparkly jewelry and a smoky eye or dressed for the office with a tee and mules.

New Year’s Eve Styling Tips

Have fun styling your New Year’s Eve outfit! This is the perfect night to wear fun fashion and over-the-top jewelry you own but don’t usually wear on a daily basis.

Consider wearing sequins or metallics. It is New Year’s Eve after all!

Don’t be afraid to wear a fun print. Go for a floral or leopard print.

Keep your legs warm with tights. You may be also able to get away with a shorter dress than you would usually wear when you wear it with tights.

You don’t have to wear a dress. Try a fitted suit this year. They are totally on-trend.

Don’t forget to bring extra bubbly.  People will thank you!

Some resolutions are made to be broken. Don’t be too hard on yourself.
