Looks For Less: Perfect Patterned Strap Bags

If you’re anything like me, you always seem to be looking for a new bag, even if you’re not actually on the hunt for one. Sometimes it seems like subconsciously the inner bag hoarder lady takes over while shopping or browsing sales online! When I see a new bag trend, it usually piques my interest and I start obsessively Googling runway trends I may have forgotten about. I soon realized patterned, striped and contrasting strap strap bags  were a thing, and started investigating a bit more. Now I was on a hunt for looks for less patterned strap bags like the ones on the runways of Anya Hindmarch, Alexander Wang, Mulberry and Fendi. I’ve noticed the Valentino guitar bag straps everywhere online and Marc Jacobs has a few chic bags in the pages of magazines lately too.

Looks For Less: Patterned Strap Bags

I really like this fresh take on handbags. The pattern strap doesn’t cheapen your bag, but adds a pop of color or pattern and a lot of visual interest to your ensemble. This works on different kind of bags too- shoulder bags, totes, dufels and crossbody bags. If you buy different straps, you can swap them out to match your outfit, or your mood too! I love how these bags are customizable and really make your accessories unique.

Free People has some amazing bags this season, and I’m loving their Stella Crossbody. It comes in two patterns with contrasting straps- a very colorful floral with bee version and a studded leopard print with neutral combination. Both would look be perfect with a breezy white summer dress.

H&M also has a pretty decent bag selection, and this red one is very nautical with a white and navy striped strap. Order in time for the Fourth of July, and your outfit will be perfect! If you’re into backpacks because, like me, you love that they carry all your work things during your commute, then look no further than this pick from ASOS. It’s a neutral color that will go with everything, but has a great print on the handles and straps. Also a plus? It’s marked down eighty dollars!

If you’re into minimalism, then something more subtle like this Topshop bag is perfect for you. Its interesting shape is complemented by a colorful stripe on the side, and you can switch the strap to either match the bag or the contrasting stripe. This Urban Outfitters version of the trend is part athleisure chic, part 90’s throwback. Its ribbon and metal strap perfectly complements the stripes on the bag, and gives fun throwback vibes without being over the top.

Hopefully you enjoy this patterned strap bags trend as much as I do. Be right back, I need to get shopping!
