The variety of styling options shown on the runways for fall 2023 were endless. Floor grazing ties were shown at Valentino, oversized pussy bows at Nina Ricci, monochromatic and neatly tied under an all white power pant suit at Tom Ford, side tied silky printed bows contrasting leather and fur at Alberta Ferretti and long ties graced the necklines of romantic dresses at Zimmerman.
How To Tie A Pussy Bow Blouse
There are several ways to tie a pussy bow blouse. This leopard print bow blouse from Reiss is a good example of the different ways to style the same blouse. You can tie it in a bow high on your neck (usually tucked into your pants or skirt), wear it open, or loop it through and wear it long in the front with a French tuck. A “French tuck” is when you casually tuck in the front of the blouse and leave the back or a side of the blouse untucked.
Adjust a Bow Tie Blouse for Your Body Type
Tie a larger bow with larger loops and shorter tails if you are larger busted. Or you can tie it to one side over one shoulder with a smaller bow. This works best if you are smaller busted.

So how do you wear a tie neck blouse? These blouses are indeed dressy enough to replace a dress or even a gown for an elegant event. Pair it with my second favorite piece of covered up clothing…pants or jeans! Since the blouse creates a lot of volume, slimmer cut pants or jeans look best when wearing the blouse untucked. If you want to tuck the blouse in to give your waist more definition, then you should go with a high waist pant with a wider leg.
If you are tucking the blouse it looks best tied without a bow, more like a long sash in the front. This keeps the dramatic look of the blouse. For evening wear one with black pants in lux fabrics like silk velvet, leather or fine wool.
