3 Easy Ways to Style The Silky Pajamas Trend

One of the top 9 spring 2021 trends we chose for women over 40 is silky pajamas. The pajamas trend is one of my favorites because not only is it comfortable, but as shown at Tom Ford, Lutz Huelle, Naeem Khan (above) and other collections, the look is modest, dramatic and chic. The silky fabrics of pajamas come in a variety of colors and prints that are substantial yet flowy. Pajamas can be worn not only as sleepwear, but as eveningwear, as daywear and as swim coverups.

How to The Wear The Pajamas Trend

Long sleeve pajama sets are wonderful for women in midlife because your arms and legs are covered and the overall fit is loose, so you will be very comfortable. But don’t feel uncomfortable about wearing pajamas in public. Just think, much of our spring and summer fashion is much more revealing. Besides, I’ll show you how to style them for three different occasions, and prove how versatile pajama outfits can be. You don’t have to invest a lot to try this trend, either. I found a few sets for under $35 on Amazon so you can try several. Or you can get one pair of more expensive pajamas and style it all three ways.

Look 1. Pajamas As Eveningwear

This look is perfect for cocktails on a patio or poolside, tuck one of the tails into your pants, for a casual French tuck look. You may opt to wear a tank top under the top in case you feel warm and want to remove or unbutton the pajama top. Slip on a pair of heels, grab a shiny clutch bag, and throw on some oversized earrings and you will have a casual chic evening look in an instant.
