How To Style High Low For Your Day At The Beach

Summer is here and you may have a beach or poolside visit in your very near future. Like most women, the idea of putting on a swimsuit may not be too exciting to you, especially if you are over 40, but I put together a look that will rev you up! I’ve got you covered (literally with a one piece and a maxi skirt) so you can feel super confident and look amazingly stylish. Additionally, I’ll show you how to style high low swim fashion. You can choose to invest in designer pieces you will covet for years to come, or pick up a few look-alike pieces for a lot less money.

Style it high or low, or pick and choose a few high priced and low prices pieces to get this same look. The mix of both is always my favorite way to style, because it confuses the viewer! When it comes to fashion it’s fun to keep ’em guessing.

The Swimsuit

Find a comfortable tank style one-piece with a little bit of rushing around the waist to conceal and flatter your waistline. Try a bold color this season, like this gorgeous magenta, or you can always fall back on a slimming black. The suit on the left by Eres has signature fabric and panels that sculpt your waist for $320 but La Blanca knows their stuff and makes you look gorgeous in their Island Goddess one piece for $79.

The Great Coverup

The wrap maxi skirt is the perfect swim coverup because you can get it on and off in a flash and look chic while doing so! Floral prints are huge again this season so take full advantage. Invest in this Caroline Constas silk-blend maxi you will covet forever for $360 or save a ton of money with a floral wrap skirt from Charlotte Russe for $12!

The Eyes Have It

Covering you eyes is so important, not only to prevent wrinkles but to save your vision from sun damage. I noticed pearl embellished shades are all the rage this summer. These Fendi half-rim cat eyes are absolutely stunning for $520, but you can get the same look with these oval frame sunglasses with pearl embellishment from ASOS for $9. You won’t be afraid to lose them for that price, but you may not want to since they are so cute.

Circle Around To A Straw Tote

You probably have seen these circle straw tote bags, but I found a few large enough to use as a beach tote. Poolside bags makes this Le Circle Tote Bag with green trim for $225, or you can get this Anthropologie circle tote with a palm leaf accent now on sale for $59.99.

Slide Into Something Comfortable

I’m a huge fan of slides and I think white shoes should be on everyone’s bucket list this season. No, your feel won’t look too big if you wear white in a simple slide style. These K. Jacques slides with a black sole are gorgeous for $240, but you can get a similar look for less with these Treasure & Bond slides for only $59.95. They come in a ton of colors too, so you just may want to pick up an extra pair!

With this swim look you can breath easy because you will look your best. Now you can enjoy your day at the beach!
