Home For The Holidays In The Most Cozy And Comfy Style

Getting cozy with family and friends is my favorite part of the holiday season. As I’ve gotten older, the parties and sparkle are fun, but they are not what I look forward to the most. Sitting by the fireplace, having some drinks and home-cooked food is the highlight of my holiday season. Being cozy in warm, fuzzy lounge clothes helps set the tone. So as a special (and unexpected) holiday treat, let’s explore cozy and comfy style clothes to wear when you’re home for the holidays!

Keeping It Cozy

It’s true, we can all get wrapped up in the materialism and fabulous feeling of the holidays; the sequins, beading and formal attire that goes along with that party vibe that we think we should be feeling. But honestly, sometimes just being at home is a much better feeling. I salute the designers and clothing lines that recognize this and offer some fantastic alternatives to party clothes. Casual contemporary lines like Vince and Eileen Fisher offer beautiful quality and lush fabrics to enjoy the holidays in comfort and style.

What to Keep Cozy In

I will be the first to admit that I need to step up my lounge clothes game. I dream about being swathed in cashmere when I open my presents on Christmas morning or counting down at my best friend’s New Year’s Eve pajama party. On my hunt for some elevated pieces, I could definitely image myself in this Onia Susie Jumpsuit topped off with this Cashmere Chain Tie Cardigan while sharing stories with my family with wine in hand! Once dinner time rolls around, I’d change it up and throw on these Eileen Fisher Velvet Slouchy Pants.

If you are all set on your cozy holiday clothes, why not give the gift of comfy? A great go-to would be these Eddie Bauer Shearing Scuff Slippers. A shearling slipper is a great gift. I wear mine almost all year and guarantee they will be in my suitcase when I hit the road to spend the holidays with my family and friends.
