The Patek Philippe Art of Watches Grand Exhibition New York 2017 is a once in a lifetime opportunity to see how these timepieces are crafted in the US.
Be ready for a trip at a moments notice. Here are some travel-size beauty products you should not leave without. In fact, keep a travel bag ready!
I am a woman and I am a whiskey drinker. Well, I wasn’t always one but in the past 6 years or so I have really come to enjoy some bourbons and whiskeys. Especially American whiskies which tend to have a sweeter finish than Scottish and Irish whiskies which can be a little too peaty and bitter for me. One particular whiskey brand I adore is Hudson Whiskey. I’m sure you have seen the hip glass apothecary-style bottles at your favorite upscale urban restaurant or hipster watering hole. It’s now distributed internationally but is still a craft whiskey made lovingly at the original distillery in the Hudson Valley.
Yeah yeah, global warming is a myth. The groundhog and his shadow are in a constant, never-ending battle for deciding the future. Whatever the case may be (and however long it may take), the weather is getting warmer. Minus Chicago and a sudden snowfall this weekend, the skies are getting sunnier and the days are heating up. For a few…
Going somewhere? Would you like to? Or maybe you need a unique gift idea. In lieu of the usual products that are featured tirelessly every holiday season (even on our site), switch things up this year by introducing the gift of experience, courtesy of Hotels.com.
A Hotels.com gift card presents the perfect opportunity to give a gift that allows recipients to choose their own present, whether that’s a romantic getaway with a significant other, a family vacation, or a well-deserved escape from everyday life.
Summer is almost over and it’s time to get out of Dodge! I don’t know about you, but I need a vacation from my town. Don’t get me wrong. I love where I live, but I need a change of scenery. So I’m packing my bags (and the kids’ bags) and I’ll be gone like the wind…well at least for a couple of weeks
I love a weekend away at the beach, but oddly the packing is a nightmare! I literally can’t stand it. You have to pack so many items “just in case.” Are the evenings cold? You need a light sweater. Are you going out for dinner? You need a cute dress. Then the swimsuits and coverups and the clothes to change in to after the beach? When I see other articles or posts with a bikini, a dress you can use as a cover up and to wear out and, with a hat, sunglasses and a pair of sandals, I say bullshit. Here is what I packed for a 2 night, 3 day trip to the beach
It is summer in the northern hemisphere and therefore it’s time to enjoy everything that Mother Nature has to offer. And it’s also the centennial anniversary of the U.S. National Park system, if that’s your kind of thing. Granted, hiking, trekking, and generally traipsing through the wilderness aren’t necessarily the most fashionable pursuits, but it is possible to still look pretty chic in the woods, desert, mountains, rainforest or environment of your choice.
I realize I should do a post on what to pack for a quick beach weekend away, and I will soon (as I am going away for a beach weekend by the end of summer). But in the meantime, if you are traveling somewhere for just a few days, you need to consider Savvy Travelers. I don’t know about you, but my toiletries take up most of my carry-on bag. There’s hardly room for my clothes, not to mention shoes. Or if you take short business trips you already know it’s no fun trying to stuff your beauty and skincare products into those tiny 3.4 oz containers allowed in the overhead bins on planes. I wind up checking my bag because I can’t be bothered. Not anymore!

We all have those friends or family that are here, there and everywhere. They are always jetting off to somewhere fabulous (so it seems) and while those of us who are not so fortunate to travel the world may have pangs of envy, packing is usually a drag. So why not make their lives a little easier than they are…
