2016 Fashion Resolutions From “What To Wear Now” Editor Jacqueline Zenn

Wear More Color Around My Face Like all of us, I heart black and other neutrals – perhaps too much. I’m about as pale as they come, so sometimes black, navy, or dark gray can be quite harsh and unflattering, particularly in the winter. Therefore, I resolve to take advantage of all the scarves, bold jewelry and colorful tops in my wardrobe, and wear more jewel tones, brights, and even pastels in general, but especially around my face. For instance, this sueded sleeveless Tahari top would be ideal under a jacket or ideal on its own with white, ivory, black, gray, camel or olive pants. Perhaps even a rust-red for the brave! Step Up My Belt Game I almost never wear a belt unless it is absolutely necessary, and that should change. Belts can add the finishing touch to an outfit, polish up basic jeans and a t-shirt, or cinch your waist for perfect definition in a flowy dress. Plus I own a bunch of them – so I should put them to good use! A simple belt like one by B-Low this in cognac or black is an ideal addition to most wardrobes. Improve My Loungewear Situation Working for myself often means there’s no reason to dress up – which leads to sweats, yoga pants, and other extremely casual options. While there is nothing wrong with that, there are definitely ways to make these pieces chic by layering, choosing your favorite colors and getting properly fitted outfits like this Zella Jacket and Leggings instead of sloppy sweats.
