Get Out of Town In Chic Travel Style!

Need a break from it all? Just wanna get away from the hustle of the city? Well, you’re in luck! Now is definitely the best time for travel. That little break in October, right before the holidays arrive is just the relaxation and recharge your body needs to make it through to 2017. It doesn’t have to be anywhere far, or even warm, just a place where you can decompress away from work and get focused on a little more play.

You can travel to the east coast of the US to experience the true meaning of fall. There, you can watch the multitude of red, orange, yellow and green leaves on the trees, go apple picking in the country, head to the pumpkin patches, or just experience some quaint walks in the park. And for activities like these, you don’t need to dress up. Just add in one trendy piece and you’re good to go!

A night at a local hotel could be just thing to recharge your batteries. Though the thought may to be go big with an expensive suite in the penthouse, you could suffice with just a double bed on the 15th floor. Remember, it’s not about spending the most money but using your time wisely and using this time to really relax. It may be about travel but in this instance, it’s about finding your center again.

For travel style, you want to keep things light but transportable. Wear pieces that can be dressed up or down with ease. Super skinny jeans and classic Converse sneakers are always a good choice. You can edge up your outfit with a vintage concert tee or class it up with a silky spaghetti strap tank, and finish with a tuxedo style blazer. Plus if you’re on the go, those slip-on sneakers are great for getting out the door and through the security line in a hurry.

Moto pants are also a good choice, another piece that can easily be dressed up or down. While it’s simple to pair them with sleek printed pumps, once again, the Converse looks amazing, chic and cool. Top off your moto jeans with your favorite anorak or leather jacket and you’ll still keep that cool edge. The best part about these moto pants are that their vegan so you can stay eco-conscious, friendly and cool without breaking a sweat.

A textured poncho is also a stylish bet. It will keep you warm without adding much bulk. Knit versions always look wonderful but make sure to check the tag and see the contents. You might have more trouble if you decide on a polyester variety, as cotton will always feel softer. But if you want to keep in the know and stay on trend, you can keep a lower price point and get some fast fashion.

And after all that, you gotta carry it all, don’t you? The best choices for your quick travel are either a weekender bag or a convertible backpack. If you choose the weekender, make sure you choose an option with a strong double handle or a cushioned shoulder strap. Nothing hurts more than 30 pounds of clothes, shoes and makeup weighing you down as you try to get to your destination. This is why I think the convertible backpack is an easier option. You can either carry it over your shoulders or toss it on your back. That way, the weight is distributed evenly and you won’t have to worry about getting a massage before you even make it to your destination. Plus, you can also keep things in reach, like your wallet and makeup without having to rummage in your purse while holding up the line at the airport Starbucks.

Yes, you can bring your small luggage carry on but you know how annoying it is to be caught behind someone dragging all their belonging behind them without a care in the world. Some of us have places to be! Don’t be that gal, you know?

You can keep the travel feel even if you’re at home. Vintage luggage or oversized globes add a sense of sophistication and can bring really bring a room together. This illuminated version is adorable because it immediately draws your eye to it, no matter where it is located in room. I think this even stands out more than if you chose wall art. It’s the perfect cocktail party piece. When you pick a standout piece like this for your home, it creates a focal point for any room, and is perfect for those who want to add a worldly feel. You don’t have to feel like you have to travel and bring back trinkets from other countries to add a worldly feel to your home. You can bring your travel aspirations anywhere you go!
