I have read women ingest anywhere between 3.7 pounds to 7 pounds of lipstick (that includes balms) in their lifetime (various reports all have different numbers). Yet if you think about it, ingesting anything you put on your lips that isn’t organic or somewhat healthy is kinda…gross. Once I learned I was allergic to metals  and preservatives (which is in a lot of lipsticks and balms) I started researching healthier options. So in this post we are going to take a look at organic lip balms. I may not have lipstick on all of the time, but I have balm on my lips 24/7. I am what you would call lip balm ADDICTED.

Here at the best organic lip balms:

1. Limegreen Mult-Balm, $16

This balm is meant to be used on you lips, body and hair. It’s made or raw organic coconut essential oils. Kokum butter and is infused with Calendula, so its great for dry skin issues such as eczema.

2. Organic to Green Arctic Coco Shea Vanilla for Skin + Lip Moisturizer Balm, $12

This is one I keep on my nightstand because I use it on my lips, hands, and feet. The creamy white coco shea formula soothes and repairs the driest skin and lips…and it smells wonderful!

3. Lano Tinted Balm SPF 30, $13.50
This is the only balm I picked with color. It’s made from all-natural ingredients so this ultra-moisturizing lanolin-rich tinted balm conditions the lips while adding a subtle shade of color.

4. cbdforlife Pure CBD Lip Balm, $8.99

This lip balm provides radiant shine while transforming dry lips wit a hint of tint. It’s 95% naturally derived free of: GMOs, Parabens, Phthalates, Formaldehyde, artificial coloring and it’s not tested on animals.

5. Burt’s Bees Lip Balm Coconut & Pear, $3.29

Of course I had to include Burt’s Bees! It was one of the first natural lip balms I ever tried. And for the price you can’t beat it! The coconut and pear is one of my favorite flavors. It’s made with vitamin-rich pear juice extract and creamy, hydrating coconut oil. It is also free of parabens, phthalates, petrolatum and SLS, and fits perfectly into your purse or pocket.

6. BAKEL Dailycare Lip Balm Raspberry 10ml, $24.50

This wonderful smelling and tasting nourishing lip formula that is made of 100% natural ingredients to soothe, protect and soften lips. It’s enriched with pure oils and vegetable butters and is antioxidant-rich. It’s vegan, free from perfumes, PPG, PEG, alcohol, silicones, colourants, MEA, DEA, TEA, EDTA, petrochemicals, sulphates, animal derivatives and all other useless substances.

7. Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Kiss Cupuacu Lip Butter, $18

I have to admit, the smell alone made this one of my instant favorites! It’s insanely amazing. This soothing herb-infused balm forms a protective barrier on the lips, leaving them smoother, softer, and fuller. The formula contains Echinacea GreenEnvy™, a unique, patent-protected variant of echinacea purpurea that contains the highest known concentration of cichoric acid, which helps protect the skin.
