Beauty: Sizzling Nail Colors for Summer 2013

Summer nail trends are always fun. From new textures, to bright shades, we love discovering the hottest trends in nails. We found some not so typical summer colors (including some fun tie-die nails) for you to try this summer.
If you thought ombre nails were pretty, wait until you try YSL’s new limited edition La Lacquer Couture Tie and Dye nail lacquer. Just like ombre this lacquer plays on color in gradation and is inspired by couture tie dye. The colored base is covered by a ‘pop coat’ for a total glossy look. A top coat can also be used alone for a ‘sheer’ glittery result on the nail. These lacquers come in 4 different shades.
NARS always has gorgeous rich shades of polish, so when NARS collaboratedwith Pierre Hardy for limited-edition nail polish duo inspired by his 2013 high-fashion shoe collection I knew they would be winners. My favorite is a gorgeous rich orange polish and a deep blue shade that can be worn together or separately.
If you want a little sparkle for summer try MAC’s Temperature Rising Nail Lacquers. In two gorgeous shimmery shades, Tropical, a glittering bronze shade, and Scorching Haute, a sparkling magenta, these will be beautiful for summer nights.
Clinique has something totally new for summer, as well as for those who don’t like the harsh fumes from nail polish. In 18 beautiful shades, Clinique’s A Different Nail Enamel For Sensitive Skins are glossy, long-wear colors that are easy on the eyes, and will reduce your chances of watery, itchy eyes that come from fumes.
For those who love a great inexpensive polish, Maybelline’s Color Show Summer Collection, which had one of the official colors of Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, is all about the blues for summer. These bold colors are chip resistant and a lovely alternative to the regular brights hues of summer.
Last but not least you must try Dior’s Vernis Nail Duo influenced by Brazil. This duo consists of Samba, a beautiful hibiscus pink and Bahia, a gorgeous deep turquoise blue.
