How To Style A Chic Beach Outfit High Low

It’s finally time to hit the beach or a pool! Every woman needs to have a great swimsuit and cover up in her arsenal for an invitation to a pool party, a trip to the beach or to bring on a warm weather vacation. I realized I myself am in need of a modest and comfortable swimsuit along with a beach coverup so I put together this beach outfit.

How To Style A Beach Outfit High Low

First I styled my outfit with the finest high-end designer fashion and then I found a very similar low-priced version. You can wear the entire high-end beach outfit on the left or go for the all low-priced look on the right. However, you can also mix up a few of the designer pieces with a few of the less expensive pieces for a high low beach outfit. The pieces look so similar no one will know the difference and you can save a lot of cash when you mix it up.

The Not So Basic Black Swimsuit

Every women needs a classic black one piece suit, and this one has interesting scalloped edges. It is designed by Marysia, who was a ballet dancer and surfer, so she knows what comfort and movement are all about. Her signature Palm Springs scalloped one-piece seersucker swimsuit is not only comfortable but it’s reversible! It can be worn in black or reversed to navy, so you get 2 suits for the price of $379. But you can save more (even though it is only black) with this J. Crew scalloped piqué scoopback one-piece for $128.

The White Beach Cover-Up

I was enamored with Lauren’s selection of swimsuit cover-ups, especially the oversized shirt-style ones. I like the idea of a button front style that is easy to take off in crisp white like this Paolita Linen Blend Coverup Shirt for $260. It’s gorgeous and beautifully made, but a little pricey for the beach or pool, so you may opt for this Tommy Bahama Boyfriend Shirt Cover-up for $68.

The Oversized Tote

This Burberry stripe coated canvas tote is worth the investment of $1,090 because it has the iconic stripes and can be used year round. Or you can pick up this vertical stripe straw tote from Target to carry only for summer for a mere $25!

The Sleek Pool Slides

Black pool slides are both practical and stylish, especially with the interlocking D&G logo cutout on this pair from DOLCE&GABBANA. You do have to pay for the chicness, however, to the tune of $345 to be exact. But you can cut out the cutout and go for these all black Melissa Beach slides for only $75 instead.

Cool To Be Square Shades

Large square sunglasses are on-trend this season and are flattering for most face shapes. I like how they keep your eyes protected too. These Dior Wildior square sunglasses are so elegant with their classic tortoise frames and are well worth their $380 price tag. On the other hand, Quay Australia makes fabulous frames for a lot less. These Quay Australia Icy 58mm Ombré Sunglasses have a similar look and they are only $55.
