Barefoot For Fall! A Rosé Curated Dinner

I had the pleasure of attending the Barefoot Wine rose curated dinner for the launch of their new Rosé blush wine. The dinner was held in the lower level of The Willow Room and it definitely did not disappoint. Upon walking downstairs, I immediately noticed the décor. It was rich and lush and exuded the feeling of fall. Each long, family-style table featured gold-laced place settings, autumnal faux pumpkins with a little bit of sparkle, and absolutely gorgeous floral arrangements displaying rich shades of burgundy, magenta and pink. And let’s not forget the bottles of Barefoot Rosé! This wine can be enjoyed not only in summer, but year round.


Craft Rosé cocktails served before dinner proved to be delightful and put everyone in a cheery mood before we sat down for the first course. Also, bonus points for the calligrapher creating custom phrases on the stemless wine glasses, which definitely made for some unique and coveted swag.

Dinner was served. The first round was a seasonally appropriate beet salad with just the right amount of dressing. For the second course, our entree options ranged from a half chicken, salmon, pasta with clams to a vegetarian dish. I had the pasta and boy was it delicious! Dessert was a butterscotch pudding or classic vanilla ice cream. I opted for the ice cream but immediately regretted it when I saw the pudding! After having a taste from the plate of my plus one, I knew I’d made the wrong choice… even though the ice cream was quite tasty as well.

Once dinner came to an end we were encouraged to enjoy the great conversation, photo booth, more wine and the calligraphy, before we all were sent off with some pretty nice swag bags that included a full and a mini bottle of Barefoot Rosé to enjoy at home. They also let us take the floral arrangements, which was an extra perk!

Overall, it was a beautiful event that reminded me there is more than one way to enjoy fall and I should not limit myself to the status quo when it comes to seasonal drinks and dining. It was a lovely time and now I have new ideas for my own entertaining.
