I love stripes, I really do and while I am thrilled they are once again back on trend for spring, I am intrepid. Why? Well most stripes just are not that flattering. We saw them all over the runway for spring 2016: soft, flowey, and slightly oversized belted overcoats reminiscent of the 80s. Do you remember these robe-like, slouchy midi coats? Since I already waste so much watching reality TV such as the Housewives of Wherever I thought we should start recapping and discussing some of the fashions (and fashion tragedies) from some some of my favorites Housewives such as the upcoming RHONY and the new and probably sure to be unbelievably over-the-top Dallas. So stay tuned for recaps coming this April. If all goes well, we may also do The Bachelor/Bachelorette since I don’t usually watch it, but I know many of our readers do. I will be live Tweeting too so be sure to follow us.
Now that we’re officially into March and temperatures are teasing us with a steady rise, we’re ready to breathe a breath of fresh air into our clothes with lighter fabrics, breezier colors, and everything that channels the springtime blues! Spring 2016’s runways were awash with a plethora of blue and white stripes, taking the look from the sea to the streets.
It’s time to cast aside the fashion taboo that leather and suede is only for the winter months. Suede has made a major comeback and not in the heavy weight 1960s and 70s hippie way. Suede has been re-imagined for today’s modern woman (and man!) and is now soft, buttery, lightweight and ideal for transitioning into the warmer weather months.
