The Hostess On The Move

You may be hosting the big meal, and if you are the chef as well, you need to wear something that will be easy to wear but still look wonderful as you are running around from pan to pan and guest to guest. Hostess heat is taken into consideration with this look (those ovens can get hot!). Bell sleeves are not recommended and wash and wear is strongly encouraged!

If you don’t already own them, a pair of leather leggings dress up any casual look. This classic evening look fits in with everything from black tie to blue jeans.

This Eliza J Velvet Sheath Dress, $118 comes in hunter green, navy, maroon and rose and in regular & petite and plus sizes too. The 3/4 sleeves and side ruching has you covered! The Super Casual Thanksgiving

You may hold or attend a Thanksgiving dinner with group that doesn’t fuss one bit. It’s a huge pot luck with a grab-and-go buffet and wide screen TVs set up for football games. I mean, If you wore your pajamas and slippers to this party, no one would blink an eye. However, it’s still a holiday so you should still look your best! Only now you can get away with wearing those super cool comfy jeans.

Slip on a pair of slouchy jeans like these Madewell The High-Rise Slim Boyjean in Frisco Wash, now $59.99. Top it off with a loose and easy blouse like this ASOS Vila Floral Wrap Blouse, $56 and since you’re just lounging around you can go with a higher heel like these Sam Edelman Heath Booties, $189.95.

It’s Party Time!

Some Thanksgiving Day events are more like a fun cocktail party and you can kick off the season in something glittery and sparkly. Even if the party is casual, you can always celebrate the start of the Holidays with a shimmery party look, and repurpose it for another party coming up in the weeks ahead.

This gorgeous Ramy Brook Tonya Top, $345 is easy to wear with its peplum styling. Wear the top with highwaisted black pants or flattering stretchy jeans like these NYDJ Marilyn Curves 360 Straight Leg Jeans, $109. You can wear heels with this look but these ASOS Design Latch sequin pointed ballet flats, $26 add a big festive feel for a very small price.
